Connecting to a Remote Host

In order to connect to a Remote Host it is important to first have configured the proxy or firewall settings applicable to your specific situation.

Once configured, connecting is just a matter of clicking on the

button of the toolbar, or selecting Connect from the File Menu. This will display the Connect Window in which you just need to enter the details applicable to the Remote Host with which you wish to connect.

Alternatively, either set up a new entry in, or select an existing entry in, the Address Book and click the Connect button.

Whilst connecting, both the Abort Menu Option and the toolbar abort button

will both be active. Clicking on either of these will cancel the connection attempt.
